Picton’s bicycle club
As the weather warms up, we still see many groups of cyclists on the roads of Prince Edward County.
There is a long history of cycling in the County – this photograph of a Picton bicycle club was taken sometime at the turn of the 20th century. The group posed at the fairgrounds – notice the grandstand in the background.
Thanks to the Prince Edward County Archives for this peek into the past. You can search some of their digital images online or give them a call at 613-399-2023.
